Lake Araisi is located in Latvia's first and Most popular park that was established in 1973 and stretches for ablout 100 km (62 miles) along the Gauja River Valley. This area of the Latvia has some of the most fascinating historic sites of the country.
Archeologists found the remains of a fortress on the lake bed here. This reconstruction offers a glimpse into Latgallian life in the 9th and 10th centuries.
